TABLE CAPTAINS

IT’S EASY TO BECOME AN
HOUSTON BLACK TIE DINNER TABLE CAPTAIN!

• Extend Personal Invites to your Friends, Neighbors and Co-workers.
• Fill at least One Table, a Total of Ten Seats, Then Another Table and Another Table…as many Tables as You Choose!
• Show Up and Enjoy the Evening with your Invitees.

Everyone has the special opportunity to become involved with the
Houston Black Tie Dinner. Table Captains are the lifeblood of the annual
dinner celebration and are responsible for promoting the dinner to all
members of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and straight ally community.

TWO SIMPLE WAYS TO BECOME A TABLE CAPTAIN

1. By Phone: Box Office Tickets at 800-494-TIXS (8497) .
Instructions: At the voice command, press 1. When the Box Office Tickets operator answers, say “I want to register as a Table Captain for the Houston Black Tie Dinner on November 10th. You'll be asked some questions, and then you're registered as a Table Captain. But, remember you still need to purchase your ticket and you can do this while you have the Box Office Tickets operator on the phone.

2. By Online: Box Office tickets at www.boxofficetickets.com
Instructions: Go through the steps to buy one or more tickets. Toward the end of the process, when asked to designate a Table Captain, you may also choose to become a Table Captain. Follow the instructions to enter your name to be a Table Captain and finish the process to purchase your ticket(s).

3. By Email: If you have any problems signing up to be a table captain, please email us at info@houstonblacktiedinner.org. We are happy to assist you with setting up your table.

10 TIPS FOR SUCCESS FROM PAST TABLE CAPTAINS

1. Register to become a Table Captain ASAP.

2. Reserve tickets early before dinner becomes sold out.

3. Invite all your Friends, Family, Neighbors & Co-workers.

4. Invite all people, not just GLBT, but our Straight Allies.

5. Attend a Houston Black Tie Dinner Table Captain Party.

6. Follow up with your guest the week before the event.

7. Purchase ticket(s) for a special guest(s) for the first-time. You will be surprised to see them come again the next year.

8. You are NOT responsible for tickets not sold at your table.

9. Provide a complete list of attendees for your table to Houston Black Tie Dinner by Friday, October 27
